Quarks of Nature

I’ve been pondering violence. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a violent person, nor do I advocate violence in any form. Recently I witnessed an act of violence in front of my eyes which had me contemplating many things, including, ‘Does any good come from violence?’
On a late Saturday night I watched from my window as a young guy, about 18 or 19 years old, stood in the road and punched two women in the face, one after the other, with such force that each fell backwards onto the tarmac. Their heads literally bounced up and down like footballs. In triumph, he spinned around on his feet, beat his drunken chest, and shouted, ‘Who’s the man now?’

These two women had just set upon him, slapping him in the face and punching his chest. The three exchanged insulted about some upset from earlier in the evening. They were part of a larger group that had just left the nightclub around the corner, and were heading home on foot through the town centre. Granted, the guy held back for a while before launching his counter offensive against them, but not for very long.

Thankfully, the only time I am exposed to this kind of violence is usually while at the cinema or watching some TV movie.
As all three revellers were drunk, it was obvious none had control of their actions. After the triple punch-up, the guy walked off shouting and swinging his arms in the air, while the two women got up from the road and tottered off in their platform heels, as if barely touched. All this was watched by passersby on the street who did nothing but carry on passing by! There was nothing for me to do but calm myself after watching this shocking reality fade into the day-light like a bad dream.

To answer the question of ‘Does any good come from violence?’ Let’s talk about Theoretical Elemental Particle Physics for a moment.
A strange synchronicity hit me recently when I joined the girls at my local craft meeting and chatted about all sorts of gentler topics. I spent a few minutes choosing my tools and beads. I pondered the attraction that these little baubles have and the strange coincidence of the evening.

Small, shinning, coloured crystals, painted glass, and plastic, polished stones, and shells, perfectly formed spheres of wonder and delight.
As it turns out, the lady of the beads, our mentor in jewellery making and precious stones dealer has a daughter who dabbles in spheres of a different kind. As a particle physicist working at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), near Switzerland, she spends her time throwing together exotic beads at the atomic level.

I was prompted to read up on the latest research into the ‘Higgs-Boson’, aka God Particle, which has been in the news lately due to the particle theorist behind it, Peter Higgs, winning the Nobel Prize for physics this year.

The search for the elusive Higgs-Boson (theorised in 1964) is sometimes referred to as the Quest for the Holy Grail of Physics. Coincidently (there’s that word again) the Higgs-Boson and the Grail share more than a label and an idea. They are far more intertwined.
To brush up on my knowledge I also read Giles Morgan’s ‘A Brief History of The Holy Grail’, (A very uncomplicated book about the history, myth, and religion associated with the Grail legend).

I attempted to understand just what the Higgs-Boson is too, and found it surprisingly straight-forward. Please see nifty little diagram below.
All matter is made up of Atoms, tiny basic elements, naked to the human eye. They are made up of three particles: Photons, Neutrons and Electrons. Photons and Neutrons are held in the centre of the Atom, in its core ‘Nucleus’, whilst the lighter Electron hangs out in a sort of cloud space inside the Atom.

Very much like those Russian dolls ‘Matryoshka’ that fit into each other, each particle has been theorised and then discovered within the previous particle. Therefore, within Photons and Neutrons there are three other tiny things called Quarks (among other stuff) and these then make up Hadrons. Within these Hadrons reside Bosons. When particles are violently thrown at each other they smash up and then the Higgs-Boson can be seen within, “Viola!” The tiniest of tiny!
The above explanation is simplistic of course, but I think it’s about right. If someone else can clarify, please let me know. I will review and correct later.

So there is some good coming out of violent acts. They release energy which in turn explains something of the unknown nature of the universe.

Coming up next time, the connection with The Holy Grail revealed.

Photo-fit Phantom

The Mysterious Case of Madeleine McCann

In the UK, Operation Grange is an investigation review which is supposedly looking at the case of the four-year-old girl that disappeared in Portugal in May 2007.

Recently, if you haven't heard, they've released new photo-fits of a man they want to question. The new sketches are based on the 2007 testimony of the Smith family.

"New images show the man an Irish family insist they saw carrying a girl like Madeleine McCann in the resort of Praia da Luz around the time she vanished. The two computer e-fits of the prime suspect were composed from statements and descriptions given by two members of the Smith family.

Martin Smith — holidaying with wife Mary, daughter Aoife, son Peter plus other family members — said the girl was three or four and in a deep sleep. The man was carrying her along the middle of a deserted side street in an uncomfortable position with her head slumped against him.

She had pale “typically British” skin, blonde shoulder-length hair and wore light coloured or pink pyjamas — like those Madeleine was wearing that night. Mr Smith, Aoife and Peter gave descriptions to Portuguese police two days later but no e-fits or sketches were produced."

But what does the official Portuguese Police file on the case actually state? Below is another section of the original witness statement of this sighting:

16-Processos, Volume XVI, pg 4134 to 4139

"In an additional statement from Mr Smith as requested. His wife does not want to make another statement. I showed him the video clip and he stated that it was not the clip that alerted him but the BBC news at 10 PM on 9th September 2007."

Martin Smith:

"I hereby declare that this statement is true to the best of my knowledge and belief and that I make it knowing that if it is tendered in evidence I will be liable to prosecution if I state in it anything which I know to be false or do not believe to be true.

I would like to state that the statement I made on 26th May 2007 in Portugal is correct. The description of the individual that I saw on 3rd May 2007 carrying a child is as follows.

He was average build, 5 foot 10” in height, brown hair cut short, aged 40 years approximately. Wearing beige trousers and darkish top maybe a jacket or blazer. He had a full head of hair with a tight cut. This individual was alone.

I saw Gerard McCann (sic) going down the plane stairs carrying one of his children on 9th September 2007 BBC news at 10 PM, I have been shown the video clip by Sergeant Hogan which I recognise. A clip I have seen before on the Internet. In relation to the video clips of Gerard McCann and the person I saw on 3rd May 2007 when I saw the BBC news at 10 PM on 9th September 2007 something struck me that it could have been the same person.

It was the way Gerard McCann turned his head down which was similar to what the individual did on 3rd May 2007 when we met him. It may have been the way he was carrying the child either. I would be 60-80% sure that it was Gerard McCann that I met that night carrying a child. I am basing that on his mannerism in the way he carried the child off the plane.

After seeing the BBC news at 10 PM, footage on the 9th September 2007 I contacted Leicestershire police with this information. During that time I spoke to all my family members who were with me on the night of 3rd May 2007 about this and the only one who felt the same way as me was my wife. She had seen the video clip of Gerard McCann walking down the stairs of the plane earlier that day. We did not discuss this until some days later. This statement has been read over to me and is correct."

Deja Vu or Just Another Black September?

It really is shaping up to be Black September, be it authentic or man-made terror. Why is this happening? Who is responsible? How can we stop it?

While we watch Kenyan soldiers running around BBC news crews in Nairobi searching for foreign shoppers and al Shabbabis, there is barely a peep in the media about the massacre of women and children outside a Christian church, after Sunday mass in Peshawar, Pakistan. Over 75 people killed, none of them shopping, all of them Pakistani.

Washington, not working for HP

You can have a spooky experience at Washington's Navy Shipyard, if you're that way inclined!

The latest news is rife with synchronicity, for anyone interested that is. The designer of the above poster may well have been clueless and unintentionally gave this image a synchromystic flavour. I especially like the hint of The Philadelphia Experiment to the ghosts.

September has been a black month for me personally since 1994. Historically the month is choc-a-bloc full of horror and murderous acts. The irony of this latest news about a mass casualty shooting in the US has left barely a mark, perhaps just my grimace at the predictability of it all.

Yesterday afternoon I mentioned how the story would probably change very soon into another 'lone gunman' scenario, because 'that's how it always turns out'. The news is like a bad scripted soap opera, the same stories running with different players every season. You just know what's going to happen.

Below are a few mainstream news links, including the 'multiple shooters' reports. Even Jo Biden mentions it, so there is a distinct possibility this was going to be the original story. There is no way of knowing what really happened just by reading the news of course. But mixed into this soup are a few interesting pieces, along with the usual gristle, to chew on...

....The Shooter studied Buddism, he worked in the military with 'secret clearance', he worked for a company called 'The Experts' contracting to HP, he lived and was in the military while in Texas, he was on anti-depressants, he had PTSD, he was in trouble financially, he had a criminal record, he had no fixed abode, he was a waiter, he worked in Japan on a 'military' contract, he was an 'angry black man', he was a good spirited guy and the news of the killings shocked his friends, he played violent video games for hours, he saved lives on 9/11, he wore black clothing, he was awarded medals of honour...

The Importance of Syria for Christians

Formerly St Marys Church
From the Christian Gospels, beginning with chapter 8, the Acts of the Apostles tells how the message of Christ’s resurrection spread from Jerusalem to surrounding areas. We see the deacon Philip evangelizing and baptizing in Samaria, where he is joined by the apostles Peter and John. Philip then travels westward, as far as Caesarea, the Roman provincial capital.

In chapter 9 we learn that there are believers in Damascus whom Saul goes to capture. Peter also travels, healing Aeneas in Lydda (Lod) and raising Dorcas in Joppa, both today suburbs of Tel Aviv. He then goes some 75 miles up the coast to Caesarea where he ministers in the house of Cornelius.

As often happens, persecution in one place led to the spread of the Gospel in another, Chapter 11 tells how persecution scattered the disciples even further: “as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch” (Acts 11:19), The Gospel had now gone over 300 miles in its journey around the world.

 Antioch the Great

Called “the Great” to distinguish it from cities in other provinces called Antioch, the city was founded in the 4th century bc by Seleucus I Nicator as a “court city” of his Seleucid Empire. In 64 bc Syria became part of the Roman Empire. Antioch eventually rivaled Alexandria as the chief city of the Middle East and played a particularly strong role in the Roman Empire.

Syria had a sizeable contingent of Jews who had full status as citizens. It is likely that the believers fleeing Jerusalem established themselves in the midst of this prosperous colony. We are told in Acts that these believers preached the Gospel, “only among Jews. Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. The Lord’s hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord” (Acts 11:19-21). These first Gentile converts were called “Christians,” probably not a complement at first.

The new community was instructed by Barnabas, himself a Levite, who was one of the first disciples in Jerusalem. He brought Saul – now Paul – with him and they remained there about a year. After that, Barnabas and Paul were sent by the Church of Antioch to spread the Gospel, first in Cyprus, and then in Asia Minor.

Towards the end of the third century Rome created a “super-province” called the “diocese of the East,” with Antioch as its capital. Thus, when the principal local Churches were recognized at the First Council of Nicaea (ad 325), “Antioch and all the East” was placed third in rank, after Rome and Alexandria. Lucky Strike?

We must always ask questions when war looms. Who will benefit? What will the outcome achieve?

Is it really okay to kill a few thousand poor foreign children for the sake of oil and gas? Because let's face it, we know that trumped-up politicians, such as the UKs Hague, do not give a toss about poor foreign children when they stand in the way of gaining millions of dollars. Don't we?

No one is fool enough to believe that these people go to war for the sake of the children, because 'it's just not right' and so on, blah blah blah....

The politicians seem to think by showing pictures of little childrens tortured faces that we will believe their bull. We should stop voting for these bastards. Let's not strike Assad and usher in further bloodshed for the sake of the elite controllers of this world.

The fall of Syria feels like another huge tragedy to me. All those beautiful historic places turned to rubble, to make way for the war machine's hapless soldiers. They will patrol the oil and gas fields and close the borders, they will ensure energy prices remain high, and squeeze the population further down the poverty hole.

Why should we vote to allow the ruling elites to bask in their decadent luxuries, while the little people toil and risk their lives for a few pounds an hour? Why should the children of these 'leaders' reap the benefits denied to every other child in the country? All the while our personal freedoms slowly erode, along with our 'average' lives. This is not how it should be. Whose idea was this?

Killing another human being is wrong. Nothing to do with religion or politics. When military force is used (however precise) innocent, and not so innocent men, women, and children, are killed. This is inevitable. It cannot be avoided. In some cases it is even welcomed! This is not how it should be. Whose idea was this?

It is fundamentally wrong to strike Syria, or any other country for that matter, whether or not a chemical attack occured.

I know, I am too much of an idealist for my own good. I will correct typos later.

Bags of Joy

So, the world's richest woman (almost) didn't get the bag she wanted? Hold the front page, stop the presses. What is going on? Oprah can't walk into a store in Switzerland these days and buy a bag allegedly because SHE'S BLACK?

This most ridiculous of news stories made me almost join Twitter. My brain-washing is not yet complete it would seem. Funny how the MM are painting this as something to do with immigration and race discrimination. What a black-bag full of rubbish that is.

Perhaps the real reason is that she just wasn't recognised by the shop assistant, who would have probably sold the Diva fifty bags if she'd have known better!

With all the real 'black bag jobs' going on in the world right now, you would think that a story like this not worthy of headlines, but think again. More distraction tactics and focus on race and immigration.

Syncs featuring 'black' include Karen Black who died today. She was the Golden Globe winning Hollywood actress who starred in many films from the 70s, including Five Easy Pieces, Easy Rider, and The Great Gatsby. Black Sabbath are also in the news after it was announced they would receive the Living Legend Award at this year's Classic Rock Roll of Honour in November.

Not to Oprah's taste perhaps?

424 from Paddington

I apologise, but I couldn't resist this, being a huge Agatha Christie fan.

The significance of the birth-time is brilliant. Darren over at 'Just watching the wheels go round', has a good take of the significance of the number for him.  http://brizdazz.blogspot.co.uk/

42 of course being the ultimate number. Here we have a palindromic (read the same backwards as forwards), just to add further resonance.

There are a lot of questions coming out of this current news story that need to be answered. For the moment I'm taking it slow. But in case you missed it, try to catch Prince William's responses to questions outside the hospital.

He appears to make a fraudian slip (for want of a better description) when he says something along the lines of, 'This is the first time we've seen him.'...

I'm not sure of the question this was in reply to, but there's a video out there. Will locate it and try to post or link it here soon.

Here it is at 1:34, it's so quick you could miss it...

Other Direction

I don't watch Glee, never have. It's not a program I'm really interested in, but what does get me to sit up and notice is when a major star of a hit show, as this apparently was, is found dead at the height of their career. The story is currently developing like this...

On Cory Montieth’s Twitter account he was listening to “Paris” by Friendly Fire over and over. “Basically on repeat,” he wrote on July 7th. That and he didn’t understand the meaning of “Sharknado” on July 12th.
Source: Showbiz411

It's the mention, not only of Canada in the news (where he died), but of Paris which is intriguing, not the repeating music, which will probably be interpreted by some as a brainwashing of sorts.

Paris just keeps coming up lately.

Craft International Pandemonium

For some light relief?

A white powder substance found in a warehouse caused a major incident this week, leading to a hospital A & E lock-down, and the anti-terrorism squad being called.

You didn't hear about this? It's all over the international craft forums. The ladies of the knitting and jewellery making club 'Craft International' can't stop talking about it.

An A&E department was locked down yesterday in an anthrax scare — after workers at an art suppliers came in covered in white dust.

The seven Hobbycraft staff sparked panic with the mystery powder.

Firefighters were called and ambulances were sent to nearby hospitals as other patients were evacuated during the scare at Queen’s Hospital in Burton upon Trent, Staffs.

A hospital worker described the scene as “pandemonium”.

They added: “Everyone assumed the worst and someone said it looked like anthrax. Panic spread like wildfire and the whole place was put into lockdown.”

Samples of the powder — which got on the workers’ clothes during an incident at a Hobbycraft distribution centre in the town — were rushed to a nearby lab for tests.

It was later identified as a harmless substance and the A&E department re-opened three hours later at 4pm.

Anthrax is a lethal bacteria spread naturally as spores or as a man-made powder.

A hospital spokesman apologised for the closure but said it was in line with national guidance for a major incident.

Mark Powell, operations director at Burton Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “To ensure the safety of all patients, we closed the department as a precautionary measure.”

Syrians are no Beliebers!

No honey, you spell Jordan with a J, like Jolie!

When you want to get a message out, there is no better way to get noticed, and deliver it with speed in this new Internet age, than utilizing a little help from your friends. When such friends are in high places, then you have even more chances of being heard.

This time we see that puppet-on-a-string-Angelina-Jolie may have had a change of political conviction through the latest Twitter 'intrigue'. Tween-idol Justin Beiber was apparently the victim of a hack by some obviously made-up hacking collective, namely,  'The Syrian Electronic Army'. This anonymous hacking group supposedly have the time to spend playing on the Internet and hacking into entertainment websites to post about celebrities and their sex lives, while posting false messages about the White House, the BBC, and CBS. All of this done of course while tenaciously supporting Basshar al-Assad, the embattled President of Syria!

It's interesting to note that when this story broke, there were plenty of screen-captures showing the terrible deeds committed by this group against the unsuspecting Justin Bieber fans. They had the audacity to hack the feed mentioning Angelina, or was this simply another one of those true-but-fake-but-really-true Tweets?

Chinese Whisper of an Unfortunate Event

From 'The Independent' we read of the 'appalling irresponsibility' of Chinese scientists who have just released their findings on the new influenza strain they created in the lab by mixing Bird Flu (H5N1) with the Human Inflenza virus (H1N1).

The report continues:

The study, which was carried out in a laboratory with the second highest security level to prevent accidental escape, resulted in 127 different viral hybrids between H5N1 and H1N1, five of which were able to pass by airborne transmission between laboratory guinea pigs.

Professor Simon Wain-Hobson, an eminent virologist at the Pasteur Institute in Paris, said it is very likely that some or all of these hybrids could pass easily between humans and possess some or all of the highly lethal characteristics of H5N1 bird-flu.

“The virological basis of this work is not strong. It is of no use for vaccine development and the benefit in terms of surveillance for new flu viruses is oversold,” he added.

Perhaps this has nothing to do with vaccines, and everything to do with population control, or is it just more fakery to cause panic and fear?

In the words of one UKIP MP, 'It's nothing to do with race, it's all about the space!'

The Voice of Russia was running this story back in January:

Sir David Attenborough says humans are threatening their own existence and that of other species by exhausting the world’s resources. He told the Radio Times: “We are a plague on the Earth. It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so. It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde. Either we limit our population growth or the natural world will do it for us, and the natural world is doing it for us right now.”

His remarks come as latest projections show the world’s population rising to nine billion by 2050.

The broadcaster is patron of the group Population Matters, which calls for “everyone to have a smaller family size”.

Professor Chen and her colleagues deliberately mixed the H5N1 bird-flu virus, which is highly lethal but not easily transmitted between people, with a 2009 strain of H1N1 flu virus, which is very infectious to humans, apparently creating a self-mutating-hybrid. The worry is that it could escape the lab, airborne in a pandemic, could infect 500,000 people .

Invasion!

Here we go again... Foreign students on a day trip to NYC, standing outside of TGI Friday's. They were not there for the chicken fingers, but were 'planning to blow up Times Square'. Of course they were, that's why they took photos which they posted all over the Internet for their friends to see!
